Tex bought this car from Steve Upton, owner of Oz Rods in Australia in the mid 80’s and owned it for over 30 years until his passing in 2015….it went thru a 3 year restoration by Bill Miller in California and was finished in 2015.
The all steel roadster pickup started life in Australia as an Aussie Ute and was transformed to its present form….it is in beautiful condition with only 600 miles since the Resto was completed….
Under the hood is a punched out 1957 331 hemi , with a one-off intake manifold by Sema award winning fabricator Hells Gate hot rods of Idaho, topped off with 4 single barrel 97 Stromberg carbs…. power is backed by a 350 turbo automatic transmission with a floor mounted lokar shifter.
Steering column is a Flaming River tilt column, upholstery is canyon leather and carpet is German short weave.
