Under the hood is where this truck really sizzles. It’s a 350 cubic-inch V8 crate motor that was installed than 3,000 miles ago, and it has been built to impress. Every inch of this small block Chevy was made to shine – from the valve covers to the master cylinder. And that purple piping just loves to standout. But this Chevy wasn’t just built for show…It was also made to go eat the streets. It includes performance upgrades such as an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock performance intake, and TBI aluminum heads. There’s a wicked sound as the long tube headers immediately connect to glasspack-style mufflers before exiting underneath the performance pickup. Making sure all the power gets to the ground in GM’s stout three-speed automatic that feeds the 12-bolt Positraction rear end running a 3.73 ratio. It hooks up nicely thanks to the massive 295/50R15 rear tires. But more than just a pure muscle machine, this pickup has an easy-going side, too. The independent front end has been thoroughly rebuilt and includes disc brakes. In the rear is a trailing arm suspension that makes this generation’s ride superior to even more modern pickups. The motor is even backed up by an aluminum radiator with dual electric fans so you can drive anywhere at any speed with confidence.
